@Eric , I've just sent you what I have a reference, but not a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet which I shared earlier is when you design your reinforced concrete sections for early thermal cracks according to BS 8007:1987. At site, you can control the temperature variance between the concrete surface and the core of the section by additives, cold water in admixture in addition to other methods, etc. The most effective method is providing expansion joints if the spans are exceeding 40-50 m or pour strips in some cases. I hope I answered your question, if not, please let me know 🙂
it is not the spreadsheet attached in ciria c660 cdrom, which is dealing with the prediction of adiabetic temperature rise and temperature gradient of freshly casted concrete. could u please share with that? Thanks.
Please find a copy of the spreadsheet as requested: http://attchd.in/jG2Qb
May I have a copy of the spreadsheets as per the CIRIA C660 for predicting the adiabatic temperature rise and temperature gradient of freshly casted concrete. The charts shown in the Report cannot fully cover all the cases. Thanks.
